We're Hiring: Christmas Sales Assistants

Are you a confident and reliable individual looking for an exciting job opportunity in Edinburgh this festive season?

This isn't your typical retail role. As part of the small team at our multi-award-winning jewellery brand, you'll play an important role in making this year's Christmas a success, from driving sales and creating memorable customer experiences to visual merchandising and day-to-day retail operations. No two days are quite the same!

Location: Edinburgh City Centre (outdoor)
Dates: 25 November – 22 December 2026
Pay: £15 per hour + performance-based bonus

Hours: 10 – 20 hours per week, with Sunday availability essential

MISSA & KISSA is a multi-award-winning independent jewellery brand founded in Edinburgh in 2021. Born from our founder Cecilia's own struggle to find affordable jewellery suitable for sensitive skin, we specialise in delicate, everyday pieces that combine quality, comfort and style.

Since launching, we've built a loyal customer community, held a series of successful pop-ups and markets, expanded through stockists, and spent two and a half years in a shared shop Jaune on Edinburgh's Rose Street.

We've received multiple industry awards and recognitions, including being named Emerging Jewellery Brand of the Year at the 2023 UK Jewellery Awards, by the leading industry publication Retail Jeweller.

Despite our growth, we've kept the personal approach that defines MISSA & KISSA. We're proud of what we've built and look forward to welcoming new people to the team.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

- Independently manage the day-to-day running of our Christmas market stall, including opening and closing procedures
- Welcome customers warmly and provide friendly, professional assistance
- Engage with customers to understand their needs, personalise their shopping experience and help them find the perfect jewellery piece
- Develop strong knowledge of our brand and collections to confidently explain our products, materials and care recommendations
- Maintain beautifully presented, organised and inviting displays that reflect our brand's standards
- Manage stock replenishment and assist with regular inventory counts
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, maintaining accurate sales records
- Collaborate with the team to achieve sales targets while delivering exceptional customer service

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- A genuine interest in jewellery and a willingness to learn

- Previous experience in retail, hospitality or another customer-facing role

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to engage customers professionally

- A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment - Reliable, punctual and committed to taking ownership of responsibilities

- Strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail

- Comfortable asking questions and seeking clarification to ensure our high standards are consistently met

- Proactive, with the ability to work independently, and collaborate effectively with others

- Comfortable working outdoors during the Edinburgh winter

- Must be available to work on Sundays throughout the employment period

** Jewellery making experience isn't necessary. We value a willingness to learn, a positive attitude and commitment to doing things well.
