The Architecture Portfolio Readiness Score

Score

I have a sharp, specific answer that positions me differently from every other architect

I say, "I'm an architect" and leave it there

I describe my skills but can't explain my value

I genuinely don't know how to answer this well

Yes. I know exactly who I serve and what I'm known for

Roughly — I have an idea but haven't committed to it

I didn't know I was supposed to have one

Curated, narrative-driven, formatted professionally and ready to send today

I have strong work but it's disorganized and not presentation-ready

I have projects but they're just drawings — no story, no context

I don't have anything I'd be proud to share right now

Yes — every project has a clear concept, process, and outcome narrative

No — it's mostly renders and drawings with no explanation

I've never thought about the story behind the work

Very. I know how to hold the room and direct the conversation

I prepare but still freeze when it matters

I get nervous and undersell myself even when I'm qualified

Interviews feel like auditions I'm not prepared for

Yes — I can say exactly what I bring that others can't replicate

I can list my skills but not what makes me distinct

I compare myself to others and usually come up short

I haven't thought about what makes me different

A strong LinkedIn, a curated portfolio site, and consistent social content

One or two profiles that aren't updated or consistent

A LinkedIn I haven't touched in over a year

Nothing — I'm completely invisible online

10 or more times — I show up consistently

Referrals, inbound messages, and people approaching me

Mostly applying to job posts and following up in silence

Word of mouth but it's inconsistent and I can't control it

I'm not getting meaningful opportunities right now
