CARE Lab Interest Form

Thank you for your interest in working with with me! I am always excited to hear from students who are curious about responsible AI, social computing, wellbeing, multimodal platforms, and related topics. You do not need to have a perfectly developed research plan before reaching out. I am mainly interested in learning about what questions excite you, how our interests overlap, and what experiences or skills you would like to build on.
For master and doctoral applicants, I am not on the recruitment committee, so working with me may not increase your chances of getting in to the program. The committee may consider publication records- this is why I highlighted your commitment, which is the only way to get there.
Please keep your responses concise. Clear and thoughtful communication is much more helpful than a long formal statement.
Another note on commitment- meaningful learning and research outputs take time. My expectation is at least 10 hours/week. If you are keen to lead your project, it should take more. I would also encourage you to consider your personal schedule for your mental well-being is equally important as research :)
