Work at Roca

We're hiring for two roles to come and work full time at Roca: Videographer/Editor Intern and Host/Reporter Intern

Company Description: 

Roca's mission is to capture the world without bias or fear. Started by three friends in 2020, Roca reaches millions every day across our app, Instagram, YouTube, and Substack

Role Description: 

If you've watched one of our or Vice's videos and thought, "I'd love to make that," this job is for you. You'll travel a lot, see the world, and work long hours on tight deadlines. If that's not what you want, no need to apply. If it is what you want, do it ASAP! We're looking for people who obsess over doing great work.
Videographer/Editor: You'll shoot and edit mini-docs for our YouTube channel, with either a news or sports focus. The job: travel for shoots with one of Roca's journalists, film the trip, and turn the footage into great YouTube mini-docs.

Host/Reporter: A mix of video production and writing. First, you'll host and produce mini-docs for our YouTube channel. Second, you'll write articles for our Substack.

Note: These are two-month paid internships that lead directly to a full-time role for strong performers.

Qualifications

- An ability to work in a fast-paced news environment and willingness to work on weekends

- Genuine curiosity

- Strong on-camera delivery

- A passion for Roca's mission

- Journalism degree/experience is not required

- Previous experience in content creation or video production is helpful

- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States and able to relocate to New York City
