Lungo is a photographic archive designed to preserve memories and reflect on them over time.

This pilot invites a small number of participants to begin an archive and return to it gradually. Due to limited capacity, application are reviewed weekly.

Community & Review Notice

All submissions to Lungo are reviewed.

Submissions may be declined if they do not align with the intent, care, or reflective depth of the archive.

1. Photos must not include recognizable human faces.
(Faces shown through screens, print, or public displays are allowed.)
2. No nudity or violent imagery.
3. Write with care and respect.
4. Only upload photos you took yourself, or have permissions to share.
5. Not all submitted photos and reflections will be included in the archive.

Because Lungo is designed to grow through return, not accumulation.

Upload one photo to begin your archive.
• This photo will become the starting point of your archive.
• You can return later to write again about the same photo.
• Additional photos can be added gradually over time.
Photos must not contain recognizable human faces.
Reflection (required)
Write what comes to mind right now, with care.
This doesn’t need to explain the photo or tell a full story.
Unfinished thoughts are welcome, as long as they are intentional.

How this works during the pilot

During the pilot (free)
• You can begin an archive with one photo. • You can return to the same photo and write again later.
• Free archives live in an experimental space. • Inactive free archives may be reviewed or removed.
• Submissions are reviewed before being added to the archive.
• Not all submissions will be published.
After the pilot (optional)
• Long-term preservation is a separate choice.
• This is not required to participate now. • You’ll be able to decide later whether you want your archive to continue beyond the pilot.

Agreement

Your entries are treated as fixed versions — meant to be written in ink, not pencil.
During this early phase:
• Photos and reflections submitted through this form cannot be edited.
• Deleting past entries is not available.
If you decide to stop participating, you may contact us at [email protected]. We’ll remove your archive and discontinue use of your email.
Submitting this form does not guarantee inclusion in the Lungo archive.
Selected entries will be curated and published at the discretion of the Lungo team during the pilot phase.
