What She Said.

WHAT SHE SAID
What She Said is an anonymous collection of women’s words about the things we have carried, swallowed, survived, laughed off, stayed quiet about, finally said out loud, and quietly promised ourselves we would never accept again.
It is about secrets, confessions, small rebellions, and the thoughts women swallow because saying them out loud would make the room rearrange itself.
The times we were made to feel small. The times we made ourselves smaller. The moments we found our voice, lost it, borrowed one, built one, or used it before we felt ready.
It’s about using your voice for confidence, power, and truth.
Your submission will be anonymous. Not because women should have to hide, but because having control over how much of yourself you share matters.
Anonymity can be protection. It can also be permission.
Sometimes it gives you just enough cover to say the thing properly.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I SUBMIT

When you submit, your words or voice note will become part of the What She Said archive.

Each piece will only ever be shared anonymously, and only in the spirit of What She Said: to give women a place to say the thing, and to let other women know they were not the only one carrying it.

Some pieces may stay quietly in the archive. Others may become part of an audio piece, zine, poster, QR code, pop-up, or public artwork.
The purpose stays the same: you get to say the thing. Anonymously. Properly. Without having to explain your whole life around it.

We protect the person who shared it but somewhere, at some point, another woman might read it, hear it, and think: right, so it wasn’t just me.

Your Submission

Some tips:
Say the thing.
Not the polished version. Not the version you’d say in a meeting. Not the version that makes you sound calm, reasonable, healed, grateful, fine, or “over it.”
The actual thing.
It can be funny. Petty. Brave. Proud. Awkward. Furious. Soft. Unfinished. A sentence. A story. A voice note with three pauses and one accidental swear.
Nobody will know it was you.
And you never know who might need to hear it.
Something you think is nothing might be the line another woman carries with her for the rest of the day. The thing that makes her laugh, sit up, feel braver, feel less odd, or finally realise she was not imagining it.
