Hybrid — performs well for both walking and running

Sports (cricket, badminton, football, etc.)

Snug — toes close to the shoe walls with minimal movement

Neutral — standard fit, no specific preference

Roomy — some space for toes to spread naturally

Very roomy — wide toe box is the first thing I look for

Occasionally tricky — sizing varies across brands

Consistent problem — toe box is always too narrow

Consistent problem — shoe width never matches my feet

Consistent problem — arch support is rarely right for me
