🌿 Co-Leadership Interest Form -Friends Beyond Boston -Waltham Social

Intro

We’re building a small co-leadership team for Friends Beyond Boston (Waltham Social).

This is for people who want to actively help shape and grow a community focused on real-life connection through low-pressure social events.

This is a shared leadership role, not a volunteer or passive participation role.

Before joining, we ask everyone to understand the expectations below.

🧩 Section 1 — Alignment

Why are you interested in joining the co-leadership team?

What does a strong, healthy local community look like to you?

What would you personally want to help bring to life?

🧩 Section 2 — Strengths (important expansion)

What strengths would you bring to the team? (select all that apply)

🧩 Section 3 — Commitment Expectations

Co-Leadership Commitment

We ask co-leaders for an initial 3-month commitment. After 3 months, you can choose to continue or step down.

✅ Why?

This helps create consistency, momentum, and reliability within the leadership team while still keeping things flexible and sustainable.

This is not a forever commitment -life changes, schedules shift, and we understand that. If at any point you feel you can no longer commit during a cycle, communication is what matters most.

Co-Leadership Expectations

Co-leadership can look different depending on your strengths and interests. Not everyone is expected to contribute in the exact same way.

For example:

Someone focused on hosting may contribute by organizing or co-hosting events
Someone focused on content creation may help with photos, Instagram content, promotion, or storytelling
Others may contribute more through outreach, partnerships, brainstorming, or helping support the community atmosphere
General Expectations

✅ Engage in the community group chats on Heylo and help foster conversation and connection between members

✅ Maintain reasonable responsiveness in the co-leader coordination chat

✅ Help contribute to the community in ways aligned with your strengths

✅ Maintain reliable communication around plans and commitments

✅ Help create a welcoming, respectful environment for members

✅ Participate in a short monthly Zoom check-in with the leadership team

✅ If you are an event-focused co-leader, help organize or host at least one event per month

✅ Arrive a little early when helping host or support an event when possible

The goal is not perfection or over-commitment, it’s building a collaborative leadership team where people contribute consistently in ways that feel meaningful and sustainable.
