Research Inspiration Day

Invitation

Registration and research topic selection
Date: Monday, 14 December
Time: 11:15-17:00
Location: Stockholm School of Economics
Sveavägen 65, Stockholm
The Sustainable Finance Lab (SFL) invites PhD candidates, postdoctoral researchers and faculty at Swedish academic institutions to register their interest in joining us for a Research Inspiration Day on December 14. The day offers an opportunity to engage with current industry challenges, explore new research questions, and connect with peers and practitioners. Through presentations, discussions, and networking, participants will be introduced to open research questions reflecting current industry challenges. The aim is to spark new ideas, inspire research projects, and foster meaningful collaboration across disciplines and between academia and industry.

The day is led by SFL's industry partners, who have developed research topics reflecting questions that financial institutions cannot answer on their own and would like to see studied. The topics are intended as starting points rather than project specifications: researchers decide the question, method, and scope, and any research results are expected to be published freely.

Register your interest

Please complete the information below to register your interest in participating and indicate the research topics you find most interesting. You may select as many topics as you wish. Your selections will help SFL prioritise the topics to be presented and discussed during the event, and identify areas with potential for further academic and industry collaboration.

Research topic selection

Purpose

This section presents research topics identified through dialogue with industry. Please select all topics you consider relevant, interesting or suitable for further development. Each topic is grounded in a concrete challenge faced by companies, investors, financial institutions or society.
The topics are not fixed project specifications or consultancy requests. They are starting points for discussion and may be adapted to your discipline, methodology, available data and intended academic contribution.

How to vote for topics

• Review the topics across the five thematic categories.
• Consider which topics best match your research interests, expertise or potential future projects.
• Tick the box next to each topic you would be interested in discussing or exploring further.
• After registration closes, SFL will review the topic selections and circulate the final agenda to those who have registered their interest no later than 10 November.
