By registering for and participating in the 988 Steps Toward Hope community walk, I acknowledge and agree to the following:
I understand that participating in a walk involves physical activity and carries inherent risks, including but not limited to falls, uneven terrain, contact with other participants, weather conditions, and other unforeseen hazards. I certify that I am physically able to participate and voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation.
I hereby release and hold harmless United Way of Lea County, Rockwind Community Links, the City of Hobbs, the LOSS Team through Permian Basin Counseling & Guidance, event sponsors, volunteers, organizers, and all affiliated organizations, employees, and representatives from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, injuries, or expenses arising out of or related to my participation in this event.
I understand that this event may be photographed or recorded. I grant United Way of Lea County permission to use photographs, video, or other media containing my image or likeness for promotional, educational, and marketing purposes without compensation.
If I am registering a participant under the age of 18, I certify that I am the parent or legal guardian and consent to their participation under the terms of this waiver.
I understand that registration fees and donations are non-refundable unless the event is canceled by United Way of Lea County.
By checking the box below and submitting my registration, I acknowledge that I have read, understand, and voluntarily agree to the terms of this waiver.
