EUphoriaCon - Imagining and Creating Better Worlds Workshop Sign up

The form is to register your intention to join the upcoming "Creating & Imagining Better Worlds" workshop as part of EUphoria Con on 2nd May 2026. This workshop will take place within the EUphoria Discord server.

Creating & Imagining Better Worlds - 11am - 12pm BST / 12pm - 1pm CEST

Storytelling can change the world through how it inspires, invigorates and challenges us. Taken a step further, collaborative storytelling through games and play allows us to explore meaningful subjects in a safe environment, learn new skills and contribute to positive change. This can facilitate discussions about the ethics, practice, and dissemination of science in society. Join our panel of science communicators and tabletop game designers, as they discuss this topic and get you to design your own simple game concept in a quickfire prototyping exercise with your fellow attendees.

Format: The workshop will be hosted in our Discord, with opening talks taking place on the EUphoriaCon Stage. Our workshop leaders, Khalil Thirlaway, Rachel Honeyghan-Williams, George Bickers, and Laurie Blake, will each give a short talk on their unique perspectives on game design and worldbuilding.
Participants will then split into groups (predetermined by EUphoria staff), and head into breakout rooms on Discord to begin their game design speedrun!
You will need to join our Discord ahead of the day of the workshop to aid organisation.

EUphoria aims to uplift the profile of the European (includes the United Kingdom) TTRPG scene and community by shining a spotlight on diverse talent on this side of the pond. Our community represents all intersections of diversity who come together to tell stories that matter and that reflect their lived experiences. EUphoriaCon exists to build community across borders an provide a safe, accessible, communal space for TTRPG fans based in Europe.
