Interwoven Membership Application

Thanks for your interest in becoming an Interwoven member! Read on for all the deets, and if you feel aligned with what we're building, submit this application form and we'll reach out for next steps.

Applications are due by Monday April 6 at midnight, and will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

About Interwoven

Based in San Francisco, Interwoven brings people together to celebrate and navigate the nuances of living mixed and multicultural lives. While “mixed” means and looks like different things for everyone, our community comes together through the common experience of straddling many worlds in our identities. Interwoven serves as a cultural home for people who don't quite fit elsewhere, with a full embrace of everything that makes us who we are.

What does being a member mean?

Being an Interwoven member means being an active part of our community. It means showing up as your fullest self, and being embraced by a crew of mixed people who get you. It means co-creating with us and taking part in a relational space made just for people living in between racial and cultural lines.

You'll be invited to our member-only events, Heylo community chat, and build relationships with fellow mixed humans through gatherings like multicultural potlucks, book clubs, happy hours, and more. Membership is free, and so are the vast majority of our events. We may occasionally have paid/ticketed events for members if we want to do something fancier together.

Interwoven membership may be a good fit for you if:

- Your racial and/or cultural identity is nuanced, blended, and complicated. Answering "where you're from" isn't so simple or straightforward.

- You're interested in building relationships and co-creating with a community of people with mixed backgrounds.

- You're excited to actively show up in community, invest in others around you, and connect over the shared experience of having an interwoven background

Once you submit this application, we'll review it, invite you for a short virtual interview to get to know you better if there seems to be a good fit, and get back to you with a final decision. It'll mostly be a casual chat to learn more about each other and align on shared values.
