Senior Backend / Systems Architect (Remote, Full-time)

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Backend / Systems Architect to design and build the backbone of our next-generation financial and Web3 platform. You will lead backend architecture, data modeling, API design, real-time systems, and secure handling of financial logic and trading workflows.

This role owns reliability, scalability, and clean system design across the stack.

Responsibilities

- Architect and build core backend services, microservices, and APIs

- Implement real-time data pipelines, messaging channels, and event-driven systems

- Lead data flow design, storage models, and performance optimization

- Integrate blockchain services via RPC providers, nodes, or SDK-based solutions

- Own platform security, authentication, and compliance-oriented design

- Collaborate with frontend and Web3 engineers to deliver end-to-end features

- Maintain clean engineering patterns, testing frameworks, and documentation

Requirements

- Strong backend engineering experience (Node.js, Go, Rust, or similar) - Expertise with microservices, distributed systems, and API architecture - Experience with real-time technologies (WebSockets, Pub/Sub, Kafka, etc.) - Deep understanding of application security, auth flows, key management, encryption - Comfort with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or similar) - Ability to lead architecture decisions in a startup environment

Nice to Have

- Experience in fintech, trading engines, or financial data APIs

- Knowledge of blockchain RPC systems, wallets, or on-chain indexing
