7. Where have you heard or learned about peptides? — Select all that apply.

Peptides are short chains of amino acids that can act as hormones, neurotransmitters, growth factors and other signalling molecules in the body. Because they can interact selectively with biological targets, researchers are studying peptide-based compounds across metabolic and blood-glucose regulation, tissue repair and recovery, inflammatory and immune signalling, skin biology, cognition, sexual health, and mitochondrial function and healthy ageing.

Early research suggests potential benefits in areas such as metabolic control, tissue regeneration, skin remodelling and cellular energy or stress responses. Some peptide medicines are already well established, while many newer compounds are supported only by laboratory, animal or limited human studies. These promising findings identify areas for further research, but do not establish guaranteed benefits, safety or suitability for individual use.
