📗 bōcha submission proposal

Thank you for your interest in contributing a creative piece to bōcha issue #6, which will be published on the winter solstice.
The deadline to submit this form is Sunday, October 11. You will be notified whether your proposal has been accepted 3-5 days after this deadline. If accepted, a first draft of your contribution will be due October 28; final drafts are due November 4. More on that below!
Proposals will be evaluated by various criteria: its artistic force, its relevance to this seasonal cycle, its alignment with our values, etc. Local and historically marginalized voices will be prioritized, as will submissions that are place-based specific to Tea Stand programming. That said, as a community publication, we welcome proposals of all kinds :)

In closing, some logistics...

Our publication timeline is quite tight; late submissions make things harder for our printer (Sara), editors (ziggy and Miles), and all the other amazing folks contributing their energy to this project. Thanks for respecting that.

If your proposal is accepted, will you submit a first draft of your contribution by October 28?

A

We'll do one round of edits; final drafts are due November 4.
