Thank you for your interest in performing at the third annual Fort Worth Songwriter Festival! We have big things in store for FWSF 2026, and we are very excited to hear from you.
The Fort Worth Songwriter Festival is the flagship event of the non-profit Fort Worth Songwriter Foundation.
The festival will take place from November 12 to 15 at the historic Southside Preservation Hall and Rose Chapel with accompanying pre-parties and after-parties at various venues around Fort Worth.
Submissions are open May 28 through end of day July 19.
All applicants will receive notification as to the status of their application by no later than September 7.
There are a few important details we ask you please read before submitting your application for consideration.
Submissions are open to all genres.
All songwriters, regardless of location, are welcome to apply, with one exception: the Fort Worth Songwriter Festival has a strict policy against songs produced through Artificial Intelligence (A.I.).
A.I. is NOT allowed at any stage in the songwriting process for any song submitted here for review or for any song to be performed at the festival. This applies to both the lyrical and musical content of the song.
By nature, this rule will have to be adhered to based on the honor system.
If FWSF discovers any artist has been dishonest regarding the use of A.I., the artist's invitation to perform will be rescinded, and the artist will be banned permanently from future Fort Worth Songwriter Festival and Fort Worth Songwriter Foundation events.
By submitting an application to perform, the artist affirms that at no stage in the songwriting process was A.I. used for the songs submitted for review or for songs to be performed at the festival.
Co-writes with other human songwriters are, of course, totally acceptable.
One change in this year's submission process we would like artists to be aware of is that there will now be a submission fee of $10. These submission fees will help with operating expenses in the lead up to FWSF 2026. We've endeavored to keep this fee low so as not to be prohibitive.

The artist certifies that the songs submitted and to be performed at FWSF 2026 have been created, from start to finish, through purely human intelligence, without any assistance from Artificial Intelligence at any stage.
