End Stage Mechaclysm casting form

The Premise
The natural conclusion to rampant capitalism running amok, spearheaded by the ultra-rich, can only go one way... war. War on a ginormous, ridiculous, world ruining level. At this point no one even knows what it's for: power? control? prestige? ego? Who cares? We're all just pawns in their nonsense and we do what we must to survive.
The Game
End Stage Mechaclysm is a live-streamed actual play show using the super lite d20 system, Crit Core (work in progress but same system behind Cybertopia and Afterdeath), as a proof of concept to showcase the limitless genres that the game engine can support. Players will embody roles as pilots of gigantic mechs (think Pacific Rim or Evangelion kinda scales), sent to battle for global supremacy. However, as with all things, the out of touch oligarch paymasters have no foresight and no idea what they are sending you into...
Players will have massively open choice in constructing their mechs and they will adapt and develop on the fly, every time a crit is rolled. Players will also be given opportunities to worldbuild before, during and between play and agency to determine where they want to go, what objectives they want to take on and how they respond to the ever changing landscapes they find themselves in.
The Cast and Show
Exact dates of play will be determined during the casting process but all show times will be between 7-11pm UTC and will be live-streamed on Halfling Wizards Productions' Twitch channel. Casting will be open until the end of Sunday 12th July, session zero the following week and first session (hopefully) the week beginning Monday 3rd August. The show is expected to run for 6 fortnightly sessions.
Cameras or V/PNGtubers are preferred but not mandatory. There will be a comprehensive session zero but for the avoidance of any doubt, there will be no bigotry of any kind in this game, including but not limited to racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, and religious or cultural intolerance. The cast will comprise of at least 2 BIPOC and 2 LGBTQ+ players.
This is an unpaid show, although all participants will be fully credited and given space to promote themselves and any projects they wish to.
The Game Runner
Ben Newbon (he/they) is a British TTRPG designer and host of the Cybertopia AP podcast that's been running for over 3 years. He's run and played in many games on podcasts and streams over the last 7 years, including recently with Deck of Many Aces and Pantsless Tables. If you want an idea of how the system will work, even though the SRD is not yet released, it will be similar to the rules for Cybertopia, which is free on their itch and you probably already have if you've ever bought a charity bundle before! Ben will be narrating world activities and performing as any NPCs, however ongoing worldbuilding and scene descriptions will be a shared responsibility between the whole group.
