Stone emerges from the long passage of geological time. Two hexagonal plinths, cut directly from solid stone, form the foundation, preserving the material’s inherent weight and singular patterns. Between these dense and grounded masses, a folded metal element is inserted, lifting what belongs to the earth into a supporting structure.
Geometry and nature, weight and suspension, roughness and precision exist in contrast within a single composition. Like geological strata formed through the gradual accumulation of different materials across time, the object brings together distinct scales of time within a single form.
