How your store finds out something broke

About 10 minutes. Please describe real events, not opinions. Short answers are fine, and "never happened" is a useful answer too.

I'm researching this problem to decide whether to build a product. Nothing is for sale here. I'm Hieu Tran; I use AI tools to help with this research, including drafting messages and organising responses. Answers are kept private and only shared in anonymised form.

Think of the last time something on your Shopify store broke without you knowing: a variant, add to cart, checkout, a discount, prices, search or a theme/app update. What happened, and how did you find out?

How long was it broken before you noticed, and what did it cost (orders, refunds, ad spend, hours, a developer)?

What do you do today to catch breakages early? Walk through what you check, or who tells you.

Have you used or paid for a monitoring app or service (Uptime, Shoptest, Revenue Shield, Pingdom, Checkly, an agency retainer…)? What made you keep or drop it?
