We are seeking an experienced Brewery Medical Doctor to join our Medical team!

Purpose of the Job: To safeguard and promote employee health and wellbeing within the brewery by providing medical care, preventive health services, and occupational health oversight in line with company and regulatory standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure and enforce conditions for the health, welfare and safety of employees
• Implementation of planned medical activities and standardized policies
• Supervision and quality monitoring of local selected secondary health care providers
• Prevention of work-related incidents and accidents as well as occupational illnesses
• Update and refresh knowledge attitude and practices of medical staff in co-operation with the Company Medical Adviser
• Food Safety Management System (FSMS) Responsibility
• Maintain a local network with relevant medical institutions, government agencies, and medical advisers of other members of the organized private sector
• Conduct pre-employment, periodic, and exit medical examinations and assess employee fitness for work.
• Provide first aid and emergency medical care for work-related injuries and illnesses.
• Manage the brewery clinic operations, ensuring high-quality service delivery and medical record keeping.
• Identify and help mitigate workplace health risks in collaboration with the HSE team.
• Lead health education and wellness programs, including disease prevention and lifestyle awareness campaigns.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health laws and company health policies.
• Prepare and submit required health reports to management and regulatory authorities.
• Offer confidential counselling and support to employees on health or wellbeing concerns.
• Participate in Health and Safety Committee meetings and provide professional advice on medical issues.
• Monitor sanitation, water quality, and hygiene standards across brewery facilities

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
• MBBS or equivalent
• Valid license to practice medicine in Nigeria.
WORK EXPERIENCE
• 5 years’ experience in medical field including experience in industrial or occupational health settings.
• At least 2 years of Occupational Health and Safety experience in the FMCG sector is an added advantage.
• Postgraduate training or certification in Occupational Health or Public Health preferred.
• Certified in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
