Application Instructions

The Central Valley Latino Leadership Academy, aims to build the capacity of the next generation of Latino Professionals. The Central Valley is vital to California’s prosperity and its current and future leaders hold the key to uplifting our region. The Academy aims to provide leadership tools, networking and mentoring to selected cohort participants. The Academy will offer four, six-hour trainings that will: 1) explore the Latino/a identity—what unites us and makes us unique 2) provide self-leadership assessment and capacity building tools and 3) promote leadership on influential non-profit, city, county and state boards. If you are selected to be part of Cohort 8, you will be required to pay a $250 registration fee. If you are facing financial burden, scholarships are available. Please note that there will also be a requirement to purchase two leadership books. Requirements: To be considered as a participant of the Central Valley Latino Leadership Academy’s Eighth Cohort, applicants must be 24 years old and over and work or volunteer in the Central Valley. Attendance Requirements: The full-day trainings will be hosted in-person and virtually on the following dates and locations. Each participant must attend all 4 sessions, absolutely no exceptions allowed. Selected participants will be required to sign an agreement stating his/her/their commitment to participate in all sessions of this competitive opportunity. Date/Time/Location of Sessions: 1. [In-person session] Saturday, 5/9/2026 from 9am-3pm in Fresno, CA 2. [In-person session] Saturday, 6/6/2026 from 9am-3pm MCC Global Center in Reedley 3. [In-person session] Saturday, 7/11/2026 from 9am-3pm in Fresno, CA 4. [In-person session] Saturday, 8/15/2026 from 9am-3pm in Fresno, CA Our Welcome Reception will take place in early May with a graduation in August.
