Coming soon: Apply for adoption

PLEASE NOTE: To give our resident cats time to settle at Kumiko, our adoptions open on 18 June 2026. Thanks for waiting until then to submit your application. Thank you for considering adoption. 🤍

Every cat at Kumiko has their own personality, history, and comfort levels, so this form helps us make the safest and happiest possible match for both you and the cat. There are no perfect answers — we simply want to learn a little more about the home and life you could offer.

Do you own your home

If you rent your home, we’ll just need written confirmation from your landlord or housing provider that cats are permitted.

Age of the youngest child who lives at visits your home?

Some cats feel more comfortable around quieter or older children, while others are more playful and confident. This helps us make the best possible match for both the cat and your family.

Do you have any other pets? If so, tell us a little bit more about them.

Every cat has a different personality and comfort level around other animals. Knowing who already shares your home helps us understand which cats may settle most happily with you.

If you have any other pets, are they neutered?

Neutering helps reduce stress, territorial behaviour, and unwanted litters, creating a calmer and safer environment for everyone involved.

Does anyone in the house have previous convictions for animal cruelty or been banned from keeping animals for any period of time?

We know this is a sensitive question, but the safety and wellbeing of our rescue cats will always come first.

Are you over 18 years old?

You must be over 18 to apply to adopt one of our rescue cats.
PLEASE DO NOT APPLY TO ADOPT IF YOU LIVE ON OR NEAR A BUSY ROAD
Many of our cats have had difficult starts in life and may be nervous or inexperienced outdoors. Quieter environments help keep them safe and allow them to settle more confidently into their new homes. Thank you so much for understanding!
