Sabulite Reserve Cleanup RSVP

Firstly, thank you for volunteering. Without volunteers, none of this cleanup would be realistically possible.

What can you expect?

We’ll work in small groups across different areas of the reserve. Tasks may include collecting rubbish along the riverbank, helping move collected rubbish to the main bin, and removing harder-to-reach rubbish from the river.

At our previous cleanup, Kelston and Glendene hubs generously supported us with drinks, snacks, a handwashing station, and somewhere to sit. We finished the day with lunch together.

What happens if it rains right when we're meeting up?

I’ll post an update in the comments of the original Reddit post here on the morning of the cleanup, whether it’s raining or not. Please check there before heading out for any weather-related changes.

The Plan

We'll split up in two teams. Team A will work in the river itself, clearing debris and putting it on the riverbank or in a rubbish container for members of Team B to collect. Team B will work outside of the river itself and assist Team A with emptying rubbish bins while also cleaning up rubbish on the ground/in the bushes near the walkways.

How many people are coming with you, including yourself?

You being at the reserve to clean up is enough, but if you want to bring something, this is what we need. Feel free to bring anything else you think may help!
