Social Media Manager — Application

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Social Media Manager will lead the day-to-day management and growth of ADYH’s social media presence across Instagram, LinkedIn, and/or Facebook. This person will take ownership of an assigned platform, develop relevant content ideas, maintain a consistent publishing schedule, engage with the community, and ensure ADYH’s digital presence reflects the organization’s mission, programs, opportunities, and institutional brand.

This is a hands-on leadership role. We are looking for someone who can independently identify what needs to be posted, develop content, coordinate with other ADYH teams, and keep the platform active without requiring constant Founder direction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Own the day-to-day management of assigned ADYH social media platform(s). Develop and maintain a consistent content calendar and publishing schedule. Generate original content ideas aligned with ADYH’s mission, programs, events, opportunities, and community. Create, coordinate, and publish engaging social media content. Repurpose organizational updates, articles, opportunities, events, and program activities into social content. Monitor comments, messages, engagement, and audience activity. Identify trends and opportunities to improve ADYH’s reach and engagement. Coordinate with Communications, Programs, Community & Membership, and Creative & Design teams. Work with the Creative & Design Manager when graphics or visual assets are needed. Track basic platform performance and provide regular updates on what is working and what can be improved. Maintain ADYH’s tone, visual standards, and institutional reputation across social channels. Proactively identify gaps in ADYH’s social media presence and take action to address them.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

Someone who is hands-on, creative, proactive, and reliable, with experience managing social media, creating content, building online communities, communications, marketing, or a related field.

The ideal candidate does not wait to be told what to post. They can look at ADYH’s work, identify opportunities for content, develop ideas, execute them, and consistently keep the platform moving.

LEADERSHIP EXPECTATION

This is a volunteer leadership position. ADYH is looking for someone who will take ownership of their assigned platform and contribute ideas, systems, and solutions rather than simply completing tasks when instructed.
