An intensive flamenco experience with Paco Lara & Sebastian Sánchez

Sunday, 01 February 2025 | Melbourne, Australia

A rare opportunity to learn with two flamenco masters

This intensive workshop brings together two internationally respected flamenco artists – Paco Lara and Sebastian Sánchez – for a focused session of learning across music and dance. Designed for dedicated students, the workshop centres on musical understanding, communication, and depth of expression across flamenco disciplines.

Two groups | One Taranto | Taught separately | Performed together

In the first part of the workshop, participants will work in two separate groups – music and dance – focusing on the specific demands of their discipline.

In the second part, all participants come together to apply this material in a shared Taranto, exploring how music and dance interact in real time.

This structure allows for detailed, focused learning before bringing all elements together as a complete flamenco form.

What's unique

Integrated approach across guitar, cante, palmas, percussion, and dance Direct transmission from two maestros with deep roots in flamenco tradition
Focus on musical structure, communication, and intention – not choreography alone
