IMPORTANT: Please gather all required documents before starting this application. The application may time out if documents are not ready for upload.

Saponi-Catawba Nation of the Ohio Valley Tribal Enrollment:

Please complete this application in full for consideration of tribal membership. A completed genealogy page must also be submitted. One application and genealogy page is required per applicant. Incomplete applications will not be processed.

Annual Tribal Subsidy: A $25 yearly due per family member is required to remain in good standing as a tribal citizen. $15 yearly per individual family member dues for Disabled, Elderly (over age 65) and Veterans. Donations beyond the yearly tribal due is always excepted. EACH FAMILY MEMBER MUST COMPLETE A SEPARATE ENROLLMENT APPLICATION FOR PROCESSING!

Required Documentation Checklist Below: How to completed application and genealogy page. * Direct line of genealogy connecting you to American Indian ancestors from the recognized Core Family names. (See website for list of core family names:https://www.saponi-catawbanation.org/council-members * At least one document per generation verifying lineage (examples include: census records, birth certificates, death certificates, or marriage licenses) * Label each document clearly (e.g., “Self,” “Parent,” “Grandparent”) * Recent photo of applicant (full face passport size photo) jpeg, etc. * Birth and death locations for all listed ancestors connected to our tribal Nation.

By submitting this application and selecting “I Agree,” I understand and acknowledge that:

This agreement shall remain in full force and effect upon approval of my tribal enrollment into the Saponi-Catawba Nation of the Ohio Valley The confidentiality (NDA), liability waiver, and hold harmless provisions contained herein are continuing obligations that apply throughout the duration of my membership These terms apply to all interactions with the Saponi-Catawba Nation of the Ohio Valley, including but not limited to: * Tribal meetings * Ceremonies and gatherings * Internal communications * Access to tribal records, traditions, and cultural information 🔐 Extended Confidentiality (NDA – Ongoing)

I agree that any tribal, cultural, genealogical, or internal information shared with me as a member is considered private and protected. I will not disclose, distribute, or misuse such information without express authorization from the Tribal Council.

This obligation continues indefinitely, even if my tribal enrollment is revoked, suspended, or voluntarily withdrawn.

⚖️ Extended Hold Harmless & Indemnification

I agree to hold harmless, defend, and indemnify the Saponi-Catawba Nation of the Ohio Valley, its Chiefs, Tribal Council, Officers, Elders, Clan Mothers, Ambassadors, Committees, and Representatives from any and all claims, disputes, damages, or liabilities arising from:

1. My participation in tribal activities. 2. My use or interpretation of tribal information. 3. Any disagreements regarding membership decisions, governance, or cultural matters.

This protection remains in effect during and after my tribal enrollment.

I acknowledge that all decisions regarding tribal enrollment, governance, traditions, and internal matters are under the authority of the Tribal Council, and I agree to respect and abide by those decisions.
