G8W 2027

Gate8 is an international dance workshop and creative space based in Chiavari, Italy. More than a workshop, Gate8 is a space where artists meet, exchange ideas, challenge themselves, and create together. We believe that artistic growth comes from collaboration, curiosity, and the encounter between different movement languages and creative visions.

Each edition brings together internationally renowned choreographers and dancers from different backgrounds for an intensive 5-day experience. Participants work approximately 7 hours per day, including technical classes, improvisation, creative research, and performance creation.

The program culminates in a final performance presented to the public, allowing dancers to experience the entire artistic process from research to stage.

A unique part of Gate8 is the Experimental Dance Battle, a special event dedicated to freedom of expression, musicality, imagination, and connection. The battle is focused on artistic identity and the ability to explore movement beyond stylistic boundaries.

Gate8 welcomes dancers who are committed, curious, and ready to fully engage in an intense and inspiring artistic journey.
