Awarded to the Councillor that has campaigned in a way that demonstrates their strong commitment to the Conservative party nationally, and/or locally. This could have been through canvassing, connect calling, via social media or through involvement in a local campaign.

New Councillor of the Year

Awarded to a Councillor who has been elected for the first time within the last year and has made an outstanding start to their local government life. This could have been through their actions inside or outside of the Council Chamber and nominations should detail any success that the nominee has achieved and the impact they have made since being elected.

Open to any current Councillor elected for the first time since May 2025.

Lifetime Achievement Award

Awarded to a current or former councillor in office whose achievements have ensured a lasting positive impact on their local community. This award will recognise an individual who makes or has made a significant contribution in their local government life and demonstrates dedication, integrity and selflessness.

Open to any current Councillor, or former Councillor who was in office until at least May 2026

Councillor of the Year

Awarded to a currently elected Councillor who has made an outstanding contribution in local government, whether through campaigning, incumbency work or in the Council chamber, showing true commitment to their role as Councillor. Nominations should provide clear and specific examples demonstrating the nominee's impact and achievements from May 2025 onwards.
