IO Performance are launching their

Inter / Outer 2027 SEASON Here at IO we live by the maxim “you can only get out, what you put in.”

This is never truer than supporting emerging creatives of all kinds. We cannot grow a local performing arts sector if we don’t support the brilliant local artists that surround us. So, in a climate where it is growing ever harder to gain support from funding sources, we decided to offer what support we could to emerging bold performance makers.

Inter / Outer is about growth, experimentation and alternative approaches.

And although it will provide a safe place for this to occur, it comes with some conditions: - The work presented must be INTERmedial in some way, shape or form.

This means that various media must be in play and interacting to create the performance in its live state. Don’t worry if you are unsure how this may apply to the work you would like to present.

This is where we at IO come in. Our artistic directors and facilitators can assist with the development of this side of the project. - The work must be staged/performed at IO HQ.

- The project must be able to work off a small budget. This doesn’t mean we won’t be able to achieve the vision together as a team.

It is all about developing sustainability and the ability to adapt and take alternate paths to achieve the outcome.
But do keep in mind that this platform is not one of elaborate and ornate sets, or multimillion dollar tech requirements. - You must be able to remain in the local community for the duration of the rehearsal and performance season.

This is so we can guarantee you are easily contactable for rehearsals, meetings and media calls.

- You must be committed to the team sport that is theatre and performance. After all, you can only get out as much as you put in, and that goes for the whole team.
