America Through Our Eyes: A Community Photography Exhibition

Your America. Your Story. Your Perspective. Your Photography.

Help us celebrate America250 by showing us America through your eyes. We invite our community to share photographs that capture a place, person, tradition, memory, moment, or experience that represents what America means to you.

You may submit up to THREE photographs. Photo Submission Deadline is September 24, 2026. Please complete one section for each photo and provide a caption and any required photo credit.

PERMISSION & PHOTO RELEASE

By submitting these photographs, I confirm that I am the photographer or have permission to submit the photographs for this exhibition. I grant the Brooklyn Public Library and the Clinton Hill Branch permission to display the submitted photographs as part of “Share Your America: America Through Our Eyes,” including the October 1, 2026 opening event, and to use the photographs for non-commercial exhibition-related promotion and documentation in print and digital library communications.

I understand that photographs may be displayed with my name, title, caption, and photo credit. I confirm that I have provided accurate information and that I have obtained any permissions reasonably necessary for recognizable people or copyrighted material appearing in my photograph. I understand that the library may make reasonable adjustments to photographs for display, such as cropping or resizing.

Due to the anticipated number of submissions, we may not be able to include every photograph in the exhibition. Each submission will be thoughtfully reviewed, and selections will reflect the overall vision and space available for the exhibition. We are excited to see the depth, creativity and diversity of Brooklyn through your eyes, and look forward to celebrating the many stories and perspectives that make our community unique.
