SMIYL is building a small, ambitious team focused on creating world-class education and media for Cambridge A-Level Mathematics students.
We’re looking for a short-form editor who can help us consistently create engaging content for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels and TikTok.
This role will involve both:
- turning strong moments from our long-form videos, teaching content and other recordings into standalone short-form videos
- helping us produce native short-form content designed specifically for short-form platforms
Our content may include mathematics, student advice, exam preparation, educational entertainment, reactions, stories, challenges and other original concepts.
We are not looking for someone whose entire approach is adding large captions, sound effects and random zooms to clips.
We want someone who understands why people stop scrolling, what makes them continue watching and how to turn an idea or piece of footage into a compelling short-form video.
You’ll work closely with our Head of Content, who will help determine the content strategy, concepts and creative direction.
Compensation: Approximately USD $100–$200/month depending on experience, output and fit.
Location: Remote.
