The Rigby Foundation and The Purpose Coalition invite you to contribute to a national Call for Evidence exploring what young people need to become AI-literate and AI-capable, and how education, employers and policymakers should respond.
We want to understand how AI is changing teaching and learning, what educators and young people need, and what is preventing appropriate AI use and AI literacy from being embedded in education. We welcome views on opportunities, risks and the support needed to respond.
This open Call for Evidence sits alongside our wider programme of research sessions and roundtables. It gives anyone interested an opportunity to contribute, alongside those taking part in organised sessions, and will help build a detailed picture of needs, current provision and barriers to change.
For this Call for Evidence, AI literacy means understanding what AI can and cannot do, knowing when and how to use it, checking its outputs, and making safe, ethical and responsible choices. This includes recognising errors and bias and protecting personal information. It does not require coding expertise.
There are 20 questions. Please allow around 15 minutes. Answer from your own experience; you may skip any question you cannot answer. Please avoid including personal information about other people in your responses. Your evidence will help shape practical recommendations in the AI-Ready Education Blueprint.
