This is a three-month program running from August till October, 2026, designed to help African youth take their first serious step into the video games industry.
Built as part of Africacomicade's ARK initiative, Spark Fellowship equips participants with the technical and entrepreneurial skills needed to build games, pursue careers, and access funding and job opportunities in one of the continent's fastest-growing sectors.
What to expect:
* Hybrid delivery - primarily virtual, with select in-person activities
* Membership in the Unity User Group, a dedicated community for Unity game developers
* University students compete in an Inter-University Hackathon at Gamathon in October, with prizes up for grabs.
Unlike the 9-month Spark Fellowship program, this is a tailored version designed to help kickstart your career in the sector , leveraging AI in today's fast-developing tech environment. This program does not include a job or internship placement. Only top-performing participants will be considered and referred for such opportunities.
Women are strongly encouraged to apply.
