This session features Professor Adrian Vickers, Emeritus Professor of Southeast Asian Studies at the University of Sydney, for KALA Talk: The Eccentric Tradition in Kamasan Art, moderated by Dr. Judith E. Bosnak. Through the stories of painters Mangku Mura and Mangku Muriati, the session traces how Kamasan painting has survived precisely because it kept changing. The session closes with a guided walk through the KAMASAN galleries.
