Mauritania, The Land of a Million Poets and the Adrar Region

Hunak Journeys offers scheduled small-group departures through the Adrar region of Mauritania.


All departures follow the same 8-day programme and conditions: a journey through remote desert landscapes combining travel by private 4×4 vehicles, guided walks, historic settlements and oasis areas, locally operated guesthouse accommodation, and four nights of desert camping.

Group size: maximum 7 travellers

Prices and Payments


Package price (Shared by all departures): €1,680 per traveller

Booking deposit: €500 per traveller (to receive booking confirmation)

Interim Payment: €500 per traveller (due 65 days before the selected departure)

Final Balance: €680 per traveller (due 45 days before the selected departure)

Your place is secured once the required payment has been received and Hunak Journeys has issued your Booking Confirmation.
