Wish for Wheels is a nonprofit that gives every second grader at a Title 1 elementary school a new bike, helmet and lock. On Thursday, November 5, our team will build 44 bikes for the second graders at Columbine Elementary, then spend an hour helping the kids fit and ride their new bikes. Some of them already ride and some have never been on a bike, so patience counts for more than skill. We need at least 22 volunteers, and riders, coaches and parents are all welcome.
Please sign up by Thursday, October 22, so the organizers have two weeks to find more help if we come up short.
