Please read this form carefully. It explains the study’s purpose, what your participation involves, and your rights as a participant. Participation is voluntary, and you may withdraw at any time without penalty.Purpose of the StudyThis study seeks to explore the unique experiences of female populations that may or may not present Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder-like symptoms, screen time usage and any correlations with self-reported quality of life.The results will contribute to the student’s AP Research academic paper and presentation and may inform future educational or scholarly discussions related to this topic.

ProceduresIf you agree to participate, you will be asked to take part in one or more of the following, depending on the study’s design:Completing a survey or questionnaire,Participating in an interview, focus group, or observation, orTaking part in an experimental or practical activity designed to test a variable or measure change.Time Dedication
Participation will take approximately 20 minutes for the initial survey of the research project, which will be Part 1.Participation in the exploratory phase of the research project will occur with 1 hour of commitment per week, for three weeks, as Part 2.If the study involves observation, video, or audio recording, you will be informed in advance and may opt out of being recorded.RisksThere are no anticipated physical or emotional risks beyond those encountered in daily life. If at any time you feel uncomfortable, you may skip a question, stop the activity, or withdraw completely without penalty.BenefitsWhile there may be no direct personal benefit to you, your participation contributes to a broader understanding of women, ADHD, and social media as factors relating to quality of life and supports student learning in ethical, evidence-based research design.ConfidentialityYour identity will remain confidential. Only Lydia Treadwell, the student researcher, and Mrs. White will have access to identifying information. Your name will not appear in any written report or presentation. Data will be securely stored and destroyed within three years of project completion.Voluntary Participation and WithdrawalParticipation is completely voluntary.
