H1Tutor – Student Terms & Conditions
By booking a lesson with H1Tutor, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Lessons
Lessons are delivered online unless otherwise agreed.
Students are expected to attend on time and be prepared with the required materials.
Lessons are designed to support the student’s learning but do not guarantee a specific exam grade or result.
2. Free Trial Lesson
Each new student is entitled to one free trial lesson.
The free trial is limited to one per student and cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to another person.
3. Payment
Payment must be made before the scheduled lesson unless otherwise agreed.
Failure to pay may result in future lessons being suspended until payment has been received.
4. Cancellations & Rescheduling
Lessons cancelled with at least
24 hours’ notice may be rescheduled at no additional cost.
Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed without notice, are non-refundable and will be charged in full.
If H1Tutor needs to cancel a lesson, it will be rescheduled at the earliest convenient time.
5. Late Arrivals
If a student arrives late, the lesson will still finish at the scheduled time.
If the tutor is delayed, the missed time will be added to the lesson or rearranged.
6. Online Lessons
Students must ensure they have a stable internet connection and a working microphone and camera where required.
Technical issues on the student’s side do not automatically qualify for a refund, although reasonable efforts will be made to continue or reschedule the lesson where possible.
7. Student Conduct
Students are expected to:
Treat the tutor with respect.
Participate actively during lessons.
Complete assigned homework where applicable.
Maintain appropriate behaviour throughout the lesson.
H1Tutor reserves the right to end lessons or discontinue tuition where inappropriate or abusive behaviour occurs.
8. Homework & Resources
Notes, worksheets, recordings and other learning resources are provided solely for the student’s personal educational use.
These materials may not be copied, shared, uploaded, sold or redistributed without written permission from H1Tutor.
9. Lesson Recordings
Where lessons are recorded, recordings are provided only for the enrolled student’s revision purposes.
Recordings must not be shared with third parties or published online.
10. Privacy
H1Tutor respects your privacy and handles personal information responsibly. Student information is used only for providing tutoring services, communication and administration.
11. Results Disclaimer
While H1Tutor aims to help every student achieve their highest potential, examination results depend on many factors, including attendance, effort, independent study and examination performance. Therefore, H1Tutor cannot guarantee any specific grade or outcome.
12. Changes to These Terms
H1Tutor reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Any changes will apply to future bookings once published.
