What to expect:
* breathing: from a focus on selfconcentrate & holotropic breathing to vocal techniques
* relaxation of the voice through the body and the body through the voice
* focus on hearing, notice what we have not heard before
* explore the possibilities of your voice and expand them
* explore various artistic and performative practices
* know better how to feel comfortable at the stage
Who is it for:

* everyone who is interested in working with voice, including those who have never done it before
* those who have difficulty with their voice: “I’m afraid to be loud”, “I have a nasty voice”, “i’m a tin ear for melody”, voice fatigеue, etc.
* musicians who need to learn more about the possibilities of their voice
* dancers and artists of any genre who want to include voice work in their possibilities

As an artist-in-exile based in Serbia since 2022 & co-founder of KP Radionica, an artist-run space in Belgrade, Nu will share on her experiences & observations on local art scene, collaborations with local artists and building her own space as an immigrant.
The talk is guided & facilitated by Alena Papina, a friend, colleague & fellow dance artist, the founder of Spectrum Studio. You'll get a chance to introduce yourself & ask any question coming to your mind.

сo-founder of KP radionica (artist-run space in Belgrade, Serbia)

Nu Simakina is a performance artist and curator. Graduated from the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music (Moscow) with a degree in Folk Choir Directing. Works in such genres as site-specific theatre, performance (classical, voice, dance), video art, and participatory art practices, primarily focusing on music and somatic bodily practices.

She has presented her works at the VII Moscow International Biennale of Young Art, «The Access Point» festival, Blazar Young Art Fair, VI Ural Industrial Biennale of Contemporary Art, the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art, and the «Archstoyaniye 2022» festival.

She was a resident at spaces such as "Station" in Kostroma, "Zarya" in Vladivostok, and the Meyerhold Center in Moscow.

As a curator, she has worked on the II Microbiennale of Horizontal Initiatives, Ren Convention in Moscow, «Bijenale mladih 2023», «Changeover festival» and various galleries and spaces in Belgrade.
