About:

The Entrepreneurial Mindset is excited to be organizing a trip to Toronto that gives students the chance to experience a different startup and innovation ecosystem while exploring the city together. Through visits to startup hubs, corporations, university programs, and innovation labs, we will see how ideas grow at different stages and in different environments.
Beyond the learning, the trip is about creating shared memories. Travelling together, exploring the city, and spending time together help build stronger connections, spark new ideas, and create moments students will remember as highlights of their university experience.

Funding Criteria

Funding Criteria

If you do not meet the eligibility requirements listed above, you may still be able to participate in the trip. However, you would not be eligible for any subsidy from the Asper School of Business. You must still fit the alternative eligibility below.

As a result, an additional $500 fee would be assessed, bringing the total cost of the trip to $1,000. If you are interested in participating under these conditions, please clearly indicate this in your interest application.

Alternative eligibility:

Cashflow (Asper funded):

The total fee for the group portions of the Toronto trip are $500 for students funded by Asper, which is a great value for flights, hotel, and some activities. To help us cover expenses upfront, we are asking students covered by Asper funding if they are able to assist with short-term cash flow.
At booking, you would be charged $950. After the trip, once funding is released and all expenses are approved, you will receive a $450 refund, bringing your final cost to $500.
If this does not work for you, no problem at all. Please reach out, and we can look at alternatives. If you are able to help in this way, it would really help us move the trip forward and secure bookings on time.
