Volunteer for The Ledward Centre’s Pride Opening Weekend

The Ledward Centre café is reopening for Brighton Pride weekend, and we’re looking for volunteers to help us prepare and operate the café.

Volunteers can help with preparation in the days before opening, food preparation on Friday, or café operations during the weekend. Weekend volunteers will join either our Café Service Team, helping with drinks, food service, washing up and restocking, or our Front-of-House Team, helping customers, operating the till, clearing tables, managing spills and checking public areas and toilets. Full training and a role-specific induction will be provided.

Please use this form to tell us when you’re available and which team you’re interested in. You don’t need previous café experience as relevant training and an induction will be provided.

Our main weekend volunteer hours are:

Saturday 1 August: 11:15am–6:45pm Sunday 2 August: 9:15am–4:45pm

If you are not able to volunteer for the full day then we also have options for half days.

There are two main teams:

Café Service: Making barista drinks, serving food, washing up and restocking food.

Front of House: Serving customers, using the till, clearing tables, managing spills, completing toilet checks and keeping public areas clean and welcoming.
