Oral Board Practice: Free Critique

Answer one practice question out loud, record it on your phone, and get a written critique back within 48 hours. Free, and nothing is for sale on this page. It is scored the way a board scores: opening, structure, decisiveness, policy and liability awareness, and delivery. A few quick questions first — the practice question comes on the next page, and you will not have seen it before.

What should we call you?

Your email (this is where your feedback goes)

Which exam are you preparing for?

A
B
C
D

What state are you in, and who makes your written test if you know (for example Stanard, I/O Solutions, your department)?

When is your exam?

What are you using to get ready right now? Books, a course, flashcards, videos, a study group, nothing yet — and who told you about it?

One thing before you go on. A real board does not send you the question in advance, so this one does not either. When you hit Next, a question you have not seen appears, and the idea is that you start recording within about thirty seconds and answer it cold. You will be worse than you would be with an hour to prepare. That is the point — it is the only way either of us finds out what you actually sound like under pressure, and it is what the feedback is written against. Nobody is checking up on you. Answer the last question on the next page honestly and the feedback will be worth more.
