GFY Open Accounts

Hey there! Thank you so much for taking the time to participate in GFY Open Accounts.
Open Accounts is a new series by GFY where community members anonymously share the details of their financial life and how they spend their money each month. It includes a 7-day diary, similar to the Refinery29 Money Diary series which sadly is no longer running in the UK.
Time Required
It should take about 10-15 minutes to fill in most of the form, so grab a cuppa. It should be a positive process and you will also be sent a copy of your answers which you can then use for own financial planning/goal setting.
For the 7-day diary, this should only take a couple of minutes a day over the 7 day period.
You can save your responses and come back later - just save the URL of the form and don't clear your browser cookies/history :)
Housekeeping I wanted to give you some important information about how your responses will be handled:
1. Voluntary: Participating in this questionnaire is completely voluntary. You have the freedom to withdraw your responses at any point before publication without needing to provide a reason. Just email Alice using the email below.
2. Completely Anonymous: Your responses will be kept completely anonymous across all the GFY platforms, and any info you give will be kept strictly confidential. Under no circumstances will your answers be attributed to you personally.
3. Duty of Care: I understand that these are sensitive and potentially triggering topics. If you need signposting to any resources or organisations please get in touch with Alice alice@gofundyourself.co. 
4. Your Contact Details: You will be asked to provide your email. Don't worry - we'll only use it if we need to follow up with additional questions.
5. The more detail the better: Please only share what you are comfortable sharing but don't worry about your word count. More is better as unfortunately I doesn't always have the capacity to follow up if there isn't enough information. I may slightly edit down your response for brevity but I won't remove important details. If you have any questions or concerns about the disclosure or the story itself, feel free to reach out to me at alice@gofundyourself.co.
6. A thank you: Once your story has been submitted, you'll receive a free 6-month membership to GFY's paid Substack and a link to download the Open Accounts Finance Tracker (in March 2026). If you already have a membership, this will be extended by 6 months.
