The assistant nonfiction editor attends monthly team meetings and occasional meetings among Nonfiction editors. They report to the Nonfiction Editor, Lauren Booker.

Candidates have or are working towards an MFA, or have prior experience reading/editing for a literary magazine and/or participating in creative writing workshops. They should be highly communicative and familiar with a wide range of creative nonfiction styles. They should have an interest in developmental editing, line editing, and copyediting. Chicago-based candidates are preferred.
