Work Day #2 RSVP

Thanks for participating in our second work day of 2026! This time we will be putting plants in the ground and taking extra time for community building.

Sunday, May 17 | 11am-3pm

1176 Abbey Lane, Downtown West Dearborn
Please wear comfortable clothes than you can move around in and don't mind getting dirty. Sunscreen is highly recommended, as well.
Feel free to bring any gardening tools you have on hand: gloves, rakes, trowels, etc. We will have some gloves and tools available, as well.
Bring water to drink! We will have some drinks available but we want everyone staying hydrated.
TAKE BREAKS! We do not expect anyone to be working for the full four hours. Go at your own pace and listen to your body.
A light lunch will provided. Details TBD.
Parking info: Public parking (free) across the street from the pantry on Abbey Lane and a block away on Mason St.
Accessibility info: All activities will take place outdoors. There will be plenty of chairs available and a canopy for sitting in the shade. The main pantry area has a flat, paved surface that is wheelchair accessible. There is a small step down from the pantry area to the rest of the yard. A wheelchair accessible ramp will be available. The rest of the yard is grassy and relatively flat with some bumps and holes to watch out for. The vegetable garden will be planted in raised beds that are located in a flat grassy area that is also wheelchair accessible. A bathroom is available onsite but requires climbing a few steps to enter the house.
