Individual Membership: These memberships are for individual practitioners who are independents or freelancers, or working within brands, charities, universities, organisations, agencies, consultancies, vendors, and data sources. Product, marketing, or sales people are generally not accepted; membership is for practitioners.

Corporate Membership: These memberships allow organisations to hold the membership and issue seats to their qualifying team members. Product, sales, or marketing personnel are generally excluded from membership.

Voting Member: For practitioners with subject-matter expertise. Can join Councils, nominate and vote for Councils and Council Chairs. Holds significant decision-making power within their area, such as standard setting. Can also nominate themselves or others to serve on or chair the Steering Committee, Councils, or Working Groups. Cannot be in more than one Council.

Non-Voting Member: For practitioners. Can request to join any Council or Working Group, with acceptance based on consideration and agreement by Voting Members of that group, assessing suitable knowledge and expertise.

Student Member: For students in full-time education. Cannot join the Steering Committee or Councils, and has no Voting Rights.
