When Communication Fails: Mobile Signal, Connection & Everyday Life Survey 2026 - Companion Technologies Ltd

Companion Technologies Ltd is exploring communication, connection and everyday life. Most people have experienced a dropped call, poor signal, a message that never arrived, mobile data that stopped working, or a conversation interrupted at the wrong moment. At first glance, these seem like technical problems. But communication technology plays an important role in how we stay connected to family, friends, colleagues, communities and support networks.

A missed call is not always just a missed call. It can become: frustration, misunderstanding, worry, delayed support, missed opportunities, relationship strain, stress, loss of confidence in communication.

This survey explores whether mobile signal, connectivity and communication reliability are creating avoidable friction in everyday life. We are interested in real-world experiences rather than coverage maps, advertising claims or technical specifications.

The survey is anonymous and open to people across the UK. Estimated completion time: 3–5 minutes.

Technology should adapt to humans, not humans to technology.

Helping people connect, not replacing them.
