In stage 1 (this online form) you'll provide contact information, your high school transcript, test scores, a short video, and most importantly, the url for a personal portfolio site that shows what you've built. If you’re selected to move forward, we’ll follow up to learn more about you and your work, with details on what comes next.
Early admission applications are due November 5, 2026. Applying early does not commit you to attend. Invitations to stage 2 will be sent on a rolling basis with decisions by late January 2027. If there are still spots available for the Founding Class Fellowship after early admissions, we will open a round of regular admissions. The Founding Class starts in September 2027 in San Francisco and lasts one year.
You need a high school diploma or equivalent by August 2027, and you are ineligible if by August 2027 you've completed more than one year of full-time college enrollment after high school. U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is not required to apply. International applicants are welcome, and while The Academy cannot guarantee visa eligibility or approval, we will provide guidance to help you understand the visa process.
