Lead Content Strategist

LingoLooper is a language learning app where you practice real conversations with expressive AI avatars in a virtual world — think the Sims meets ChatGPT to help you speak a new language with confidence.
We've recently crossed 1.2 million downloads on iOS and Android and grew more than 10X last year. The vast majority of our users discover us through short-form UGC on TT/IG/YT and now we're looking for the right talent who will to keep building on that momentum and turn it into a scalable system.

Who we are

We're a lean, remote-first team of 10 led by two co-founders: Dani (CEO, based in Sweden) and Simon (CTO, Berlin), building the most immersive language learning app on the market and most importantly, a product that people genuinely love. Content is our main growth channel, and we're looking for a Lead Content Strategist to own our creator program, scale what's already working, and build the systems that take us to the next level. This will start on a ~30 hour/week basis, designed to convert into a full-time position (and the opportunity for exit participation if performance is right)

What you'll do

As lead content strategist, your main responsibility is to build a scalable content system using briefs, templates, testing calendars and feedback loops that drives sustainable growth in LingoLooper's user acquisition. In practice, this means;
• Design TikTok-native UGC concepts, hooks, and formats that can be tested, iterated, and scaled across multiple channels and campaigns
• Find viral formats on TikTok and Reels, then adapt and apply them to LingoLooper's target audience and product
• Review data to analyze which formats are working well and which are failing, then using that data to learn and iterate fast on the content formats creators are putting out
• Work closely with our creators to ensure that they are following guidelines, aligning with the content examples and giving them clear and direct feedback
• Create content yourself when it makes sense, for example demonstrating new creative ideas to the creator team
• Identify opportunities to use AI and automation to speed up content production, learning speed, improve creator workflows, and scale output without scaling headcount
• Work directly with Dani (CEO) and marketing team on strategy, priorities, and creative direction

Who you are

• Chronically online, a natural doom scroller with a genuine intuition for what makes people stop scrolling and engage • Comfortable with analyzing data for the purpose of taking actionable insights to be applied to strategy • Ambitious - someone who wants to make this role their own within one of the leading language learning startups in the world • Experienced in tech UGC (as a creator is fine, as a strategist or coach is a bonus) • Self-motivated, hard-working, organized and passionate about striving for excellence • Interested in language learning and you get why people love LingoLooper

Bonus: you have experience in computer science; familiarity with how organic content feeds into paid; or you've scaled a content operation from scrappy to systematic.

A clear growth path: you'll start with a paid trial (~30 hours/week, $750/week + performance bonuses) designed to convert into a full-time position with bonuses and opportunity for exit participation.
