You never really move for just a job or a degree.
You uproot a whole life and start it again. New systems, new people, new ways of doing ordinary things - and underneath it, a layer nobody hands you: the unsaid rules, the slang, the small understandings that decide whether you're getting by or actually belonging.
Most of us figure that out alone. I'm trying to understand what changes when we don't - when there's someone a few years ahead of you, in your industry, who's lived the migrant experience and will talk you through theirs. Do you feel more supported? Less alone? Does it help you belong and find your way? Does guidance actually move the needle when you're navigating somewhere unknown?
